CURATOR’S TALK Fire and Ash: Woodfire Pottery of Arthur and Carol Rosser

Artspace Mackay Curator Lauren Turton will discuss Fire and Ash: Woodfire Pottery of Arthur and Carol Rosser with three special guests—artists and long time friends of the Rossers, Anneke Silver and Len Cook, and Arthur and Carol’s daughter Zoe Judge.

For over forty years the Rossers created work from their secluded rainforest pottery in the Mackay hinterland, near the township of Eungella. Fire and Ash celebrates the artists’ mastery of the medium and highlights their considered approach to land care, development of unique ash glazes and long wood firings.
