If you’re a young person who loves making art, Kids Art Club – Artspace Mackay’s ongoing term-based Saturday art program delivered by practising local artists is just for you! Term 2 for 2024 will be delivered by versatile local artist educator Cordell Steer. This six week creative art program for kids sees our young participants exploring and responding to their surroundings. looking at artwork and methods of artists from Artspace Mackay’s art collection, and exploring through experimental and fun-filled art activities. They can expect to learn new techniques and make art with all kinds of exciting creative art materials.
$180 per child (8 to 12 yrs) for six weeks (includes materials), spaces limited.
Bring a water bottle if required. Please don’t wear your best clothes – Kids Art Club is a fun and messy business!

IMPORTANT – Please carefully read the terms and conditions before making a booking:
• Your child must be brought in to the Cricket Shed, Queens Park by his/her parent or carer as accurate Medical Forms and contact details will need to be filled out and will be referred to by staff for the six-week period. These must be completed and correct to assist or guide staff in session delivery.
• Each child must be brought into the art room by an adult who will sign the child in at the beginning of the lesson, and sign-out when they collect their child.
• During the art class, it is important that our staff can contact a child’s parent/carer in case of emergency. Please ensure that you include all correct contact numbers – a mobile number is preferable – so that you can be reached on during the art sessions.
• All students are expected to behave in a respectful manner that does not disrupt fellow students or class activities. If necessary, parents will be contacted by Artspace staff to collect their enrolled child, when there are issues arising from continued disruptive behaviour.
• Please ensure that your child wears closed in shoes to each lesson. Also as this is an art class and children are encouraged to use a wide range of messy art materials, please make sure your child wears old clothes to each session.
• All program attendees must be in good health prior to attending the session (eg. no runny noses, coughs, temperatures). If any of the attendees booked in feel unwell prior to any of the sessions, please notify staff 4961 9722 that you’ll be unable to attend.
• A reminder notification will be sent 24 hours prior to the program. If your child is unable to attend, please contact Artspace Mackay on 4961 9722 to advise the art tutor.
• Please be aware that all programs may be photographed. Photography permission forms will be provided for you to complete prior to the first session.
• By making a booking you agree to all of the above.
